LAST DAY OF PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK
That afternoon Rama decided to stop by the minimarket near his complex after work. He intended to buy some snacks before going home.
When passing through a small alley next to a minimarket, his eyes caught the figure of a seedy boy sitting hugging his knees on the steps. His sympathy arose and he approached the child.
"Hey kid, why are you sitting here alone?" said Rama in a friendly manner.
Boy: "Hello Uncle, I'm playing hide and seek with Rian and the others. But... it seems like they've all gone home. I was told to close my eyes and on the count of thirteen I went back to the field, but I knew it was already quiet..."
Rama: "Why, so you've been waiting there all afternoon? It's already afternoon."
Boy: "Hehe yeah Uncle, I've been here for hours I think... when I went back to the field to look for the others, there was no one at all. Even though it usually takes a long time to play hide and seek. So I just waited here to see who I know they're back again..."
The boy's stomach growled. His face flushed with embarrassment.
Boy: "Sorry Uncle, my stomach is noisy... I haven't eaten anything since this morning. I was in a hurry to go play so I didn't have time to have breakfast. Then Mama was also going to sell so she didn't cook for me..."
Rama: "Gosh, you must be really hungry, kid... Come on, uncle, take you to eat first, do you want to come with me to buy food?"
Boy: "I want to, Uncle! I really want to eat scrambled eggs and fried chicken... but then uncle, I'll ride a motorbike because my house is a bit far to the other end..."
Rama: "Okay, then I'll let uncle take you home..."
"Why, why can Ical come home with, uncle?" asked the mother of the boy named Ical with a confused face.
Rama also explained how he found Ical sitting alone in the alley near the minimarket, because his friends had left him after playing hide and seek.
"Oh my... so Ical has been waiting there alone all afternoon? Luckily you found and kept Ical. Thank you very much, sir..." said the mother with a look of relief and gratitude.
Ical himself is now engrossed in eating the food packaged by Rama. Occasionally his jokes and jokes made Rama and his mother laugh.
Rama just smiled while gently stroking Ical's hair. "Next time you play, tell Mama first. So you don't have to look for her and wait a long time..." he advised gently.
The day was starting to get late. Rama said goodbye to go home while waving at little Ical who was still faithfully waving happily...
